As a teacher (married to a teacher and from a family of teachers), Jeremy Waters knew only too well that teachers were struggling to cope with an ever-increasing administrative burden.

Discussions with hundreds of teachers and leadership teams, supported by performance data, showed that unidentified gaps in student learning was the single biggest stumbling block for students. Working with the team since 2015, Elastik was rolled out across Australia and is now in over 500 schools. This was followed by alignment to the UK curriculum and launch in October 2021.

With more than 20 years of leadership experience in schools and educational organisations, Jeremy has extensive knowledge in product development and school performance improvement.

Joel Hooper
CEO

Joel is leading the organisation’s mission to transform teaching, learning and assessment. He brings deep leadership experience in applied AI, software, data, and operations in highly regulated and complex sectors. Before joining Elastik, Joel served as Director of Operations at Faculty AI, where he oversaw the scaling and operational delivery of high impact applied AI programmes. Joel has also held multiple senior leadership roles at JET Group, Henmil Group, Instem and IQVIA. Joel is currently on the Board of Trustees at Thanet Community Development Trust.

Kevin Clark
Chief Technology Officer

Kevin brings over twenty years of technology leadership to Elastik, leading the teams responsible for the architecture and technical product strategy across its education platforms. With deep experience in cloud infrastructure, security, and large-scale systems, he sets the direction for building reliable, scalable technology that supports educators and schools.
