Our story

The story of Elastik starts over 10 years ago with Jeremy Waters and Best Performance, a company that provided data to schools.

As a teacher (married to a teacher and from a family of teachers), Jeremy knew only too well that teachers were struggling to cope with the ever-increasing administrative burden.

Discussions with hundreds of teachers and leadership teams, supported by performance data, showed that unidentified gaps in student learning was the single biggest stumbling block for students.

So, in 2015, together with some of Australia’s top software engineers, Jeremy began developing an online platform to automate time-consuming processes.

The objective was to develop an intuitive solution that was teacher and pupil focussed rather than technology led. In February 2021, Elastik launched across Australia and is now fully functional in over 400 schools.
