The Learning Trend feature in Elastik gives teachers, coordinators, and school leaders a longitudinal view of how students are tracking against standardised assessments over time. Learning Trend sits alongside Learning Spotlight and Spotlight Reviews to give a complete picture of where students have been, where they are now, and where they are heading.
Learning Trend turns raw assessment results into an easy-to-read growth view. Rather than looking at a single test result in isolation, you can see how a student, class, year level, or whole school has moved across multiple test cycles. Learning Trend displays your students average scores in a graph and plots them against the relevant national benchmarks and year-level expectations, so you can quickly identify students who are on track, students who are accelerating, and students who need targeted support. In addition to this, the finer details are supplied in a table below the graph. When viewing a class or year level, the cohort trend line shows the average progression of the group. This is useful for parent-teacher conversations and for identifying students whose growth is flattening compared to the rest of the cohort.

Please note Learning Trend only displays data once assessment results have been uploaded or synced for your school. If a student is missing from a chart, the most likely reason is that their result has not yet been imported.
