When I try to login to Elastik using Microsoft SSO, I get an error. #
This may happen if:
- Your school is not set up to use Microsoft SSO with Elastik: You will need to submit a request to us in order to enable this.
- We need additional admin approval in order to enable SSO for your school: Please contact your school’s IT administrator and ask them to provide additional consent.
I am an IT administrator. My school is set up to use Microsoft SSO with Elastik, but users in my school are unable to login. #
Users in your school may have their login attempts blocked by Microsoft Entra or may see an error message stating that admin approval is required.
In this case you will need to grant organisational consent manually:
Grant organisational consent #
An Entra administrator can grant consent by visiting the following URL. Replace {yourtenantid} with your organisation’s Tenant ID:
Try logging in using the Microsoft SSO option again.
Note: After granting consent the page may display an error. This is expected — consent has still been applied successfully.
Verify permissions in Microsoft Entra #
If SSO is still not working after granting consent:
- Sign in to https://entra.microsoft.com
- Go to Applications → Enterprise Applications.
- Locate the Elastik application. It will appear here after the first login attempt has been made.
- Under Permissions, confirm the requested permissions are granted organisation-wide.
- If permissions are still pending, re-grant consent under the Admin Consent section.
- Once organisation-wide access is confirmed, try logging in using the Microsoft SSO option again.
If your issue still hasn’t been resolved, contact the Elastik support team at support@elastik.com and we can assist with troubleshooting or walk through the configuration with you.
